Sneakers equipped with LED screens and sensors, is the project to say the least unusual that the American company Vixole Inc. wants to finance thanks to a campaign of crowdfunding on Indiegogo.
The pair of sneakers whose display is located at the back of each shoe will be customizable with drawings of pictures or images that can be downloaded via the dedicated application.
Vixole e-sneakers can also be synchronized via Bluetooth with music that you listen to on your smartphone, act as an activity tracker, facilitate interactions on Social networks (add friends by touching another e-sneaker) and improve the experience when playing AR / VR games, such as Pokémon Go.
Three models under development
If Vixole manages to raise the $ 30,000 target for the launch of its smart sneakers, three models ─ currently in the prototype ─ will be available for sale: Vixole Basic with LED display ($ 150), Vixole Plus On which 8 motion sensors are added to the LED screen ($ 195), and finally Vixole OLED which, as its name suggests, has an OLED screen ($ 300).
