Google Maps now shows wheelchair accessible locations

Google Maps now shows wheelchair accessible locations

Google Maps is a very useful application, but still limited for some people. This is particularly the case for the 2 to 3% of the population who moves in a wheelchair.
To help these people to move more easily, Google wants to answer taken things in hand. The US giant has updated its Google Maps application with a new feature. Now, Google Maps will display accessible places for people in wheelchairs.

When you click on a specific location, Google Maps will indicate if it is accessible to people with disabilities. This new feature will not immediately affect all locations. To improve its service and update its information, Google counts on local guides, users who provide information when visiting places.

This new reference is useful for people with disabilities, but also for parents who use a stroller or anyone with reduced mobility. The new feature is only available in the US at this time.
