The tests and various evaluations of the AirPods are multiplying. Some smart users have also noticed that the loading port is almost identical to the shape of a USB-C port. This raises a few questions.
First, it should be remembered that these wireless headphones come with lightning cables to ensure their power supply. However, specialists have found many similarities between the Lightning connector and a USB-C port. Thus, they assume that the apple brand would initially have planned to adopt this technique of recharging.
Did Apple have a charging via USB-C?
Since Apple has earned its reputation for its care of small details, observers believe that plans may have changed during the production phase. Indeed, more detailed images underline an inconsistency between the shape of the port and that of the cable. While the former is rather elongated, the second is clearly circular. Since the official presentation of the product last September, sophisticated eyes have already noted this design in the first practical videos.
Nevertheless, since the AirPods will mostly be used with the iPhone 7, it seems logical that both devices are loaded in the same way. On the other hand, the evolution towards the USB-C connection is another technical challenge.
