Chrome: Youtube notifications in the navigation bar?

Chrome: Youtube notifications in the navigation bar?

Good for some, and probably less for those who do not use their Google+ account, a new Google Chrome icon on the top right corner now allows you to scroll through notifications about your account.
According to Google Operating System, a news blog about Google, it might be that the previously named company instead uses this feature for YouTube video notifications in the near future.

How it works ?

For example, if you are subscribed to one or more YouTube channels, instead of receiving information about your account, you will receive information about your video subscriptions via the navigation bar. You will of course have to activate the notifications for the channels of which you wish to receive news in order to benefit from this functionality.

As the project is still experimental, no date of implementation of these changes is yet known. According to Google Operating System, if you do not like this novelty, it is always possible to remove YouTube cookies from the browser and not use the icon and its annotations. The future will tell us if this change will bring a more interesting utility in a homogeneous way for all users of Google's browser.
