Googlevient to deploy the latest version of its operating system: Android 7.1. This new update comes with new emojis, shortcuts and a keyboard to GIF. The Android version 7.1 will add a total of 11 new emojis, including women in occupations such as doctor, welder, chef, scientist, etc.
The update also adds the male / female equivalents of the trades that already existed for one of the two sexes.
In addition to better gender equality, Google also wanted to promote more diversity in its emojis. Each of the new characters will be available in several shades of skin. The new update also brings new shortcuts similar to Apple's 3D Touch. Android will allow developers to create shortcuts to their applications. Moreover, thanks to Android 7.1, users will no longer have to download a third-party application to access the GIF. They will be able to use a GIF keyboard compatible with several other applications including Google Allo, Messenger and Hangouts.
The first smartphones to host Android 7.1 will be the Pixels followed by the Nexus.
