First 100% robotic restaurant opens in New York

First 100% robotic restaurant opens in New York

After San Francisco and Los Angeles, Eatsa opened its doors in New York. Located at 285 Madison Avenue, between 40th and 41st Street, this restaurant stands out for its lack of interactions with a waiter or cashier, and the service is fully automated.

When you eat at Eatsa, a dedicated application allows you to place your order on the iPads provided for this purpose or on your smartphone. For each meal, the ingredients are detailed and customers will also know the nutritional value of the food. The chain offers only vegetarian food. The menu is based on quinoa, a cereal from Latin America, a dish costs about 7 dollars and payment is made online.

The company received an award for its technological innovation

An LCD screen shows the order of the controls and the corresponding locker number. When the meal is ready, the customer's name will be highlighted in green and he can retrieve his order by tapping lightly on the top right of the box. It should be noted that the preparation is still carried out by humans. However, customers do not see them, they stay in the kitchens. For information, Eatsa opened its first facility in San Francisco in 2015. A year later, it won the award for Business Restaurant 2016 Tech Accelerator.
