Bixby: the AI assistant for all Galaxy S8 apps?

Bixby: the AI assistant for all Galaxy S8 apps?

Earlier in the year, Samsung acquired Viv, an assistant program with artificial intelligence made by the developers of Siri. The Galaxy S8 is expected to be the first smartphone with this built-in smart wizard.
Renamed, Bixby, this new tool using the Viv program, would be implemented on all the original applications of the Samsung Galaxy S8. A built-in interface and identical design for all apps would allow the user to access several notifications and settings through a taskbar specific to that wizard.

Bixby: a little further in the AI?

Bixby would be able to give answers and interact with his owner based on a given context. It would be quite possible, for example, to open his photo album and ask the artificial intelligence to select only those taken on a beach.

But what differentiates this Artificial Intelligence from those of competing companies, already capable of accomplishing these kinds of tasks, is its ability to learn. Samsung's next AI will be open to both users and developers. With a preliminary accompaniment, Bixby can adapt to the needs of his user, understand his tastes and preferences, in a way he will be able to personalize his "reflection" according to the person who orders it.

This new acquisition by the Korean mobile phone giant will also replace S Voice, its current IA, which was beginning to be outdated. Even if everything is still a little fuzzy, their new AI may become promising and benefit the Galaxy designers. Moreover, Sam's mobile opens a question, how Google, which is investing more and more in the development of intelligent wizards, will react to the new auxiliary program of its telephony partner.
