Super Mario Run: the Nintendo mobile game explodes the records

Despite a mixed reception and some bad comments on the App Store, the first real game on Nintendo's smartphone, released last December 15, would have, according to Nintendo, met a huge success.
Indeed, in just 4 days the mobile version of the Italian plumber would have been downloaded more than 40 million times on iOS, breaking the record of the App Store in this period of time. Super Mario Run would have entered the top 10 most popular games in more than 100 countries. When considering only its free version, the top 10 is even reached in 140 countries.

More than 40 million downloads

On the other hand, in the case of the latter version, it is still a little difficult to know the real extent of this success, because remember that its economic model is quite different from other games on the market of mobile platforms. The game is available for free download, but you have to pay to unlock most of its content. Despite this it is a victory for the baby of Shigeru Miyamoto who crushes on his passage Pokémon Go to which it had taken more than 10 days to pass the bar of the 25 million downloads.

This new record should predict a greater future investment by Nintendo among the general public of smartphone users. If you do not have it yet, Super Mario Run is available to all holders of Apple smartphones and tablets for free on the App Store, and its full version requires a single payment .
