CyanogenMOD is dead,Vive LineageOS

Probably the most popular Android rom in the world, CyanogenMOD just left us. Indeed, the team of Cyanogen has just announced the end of
services for this rom which had a particular success for its fluidity, updates quickly to the page, an interface close to an original Android while having a few Small features in addition.

The rom had so much seduced that the company had to develop its own OS: Cyanogen OS, it had been popularized with some smartphones integrating basic like OnePlusOne, some Alcatel, Lenovo, BQ ...

The strength of CyanogenMod surely resided also in its community, a huge network of help and sharing between developers and users.

The project however closes its doors for multiple causes
The departure of the project's founder, Steve Kondik, will surely hastened the end of the Support of Cyanogen OS, which was gradually losing the spirit of its origins. However, despite the fact that the OS has been abandoned, the old team as well as the huge community of the alternative Roma would be working together on a certain resurrection: Lineage OS. Since the source code is always available, Lineage OS would be based on its latest version, a fork of CyanogenMOD.

The project will probably take some time to actually update and upgrade, possibly resulting in a switch to a different OS, such as Oxygen OS, for current CyanogenOS users.
