Facebook adds the stickers in the photos of Messenger

Facebook adds the stickers in the photos of Messenger

Last Thursday, Facebook announced the arrival of a new feature on its Messenger application. Now enriched, the photo part of the application makes it possible to add stickers, filters or 3D masks in augmented reality.

If Facebook Messenger already incorporates a photo part allowing to send to its contacts cliches or videos, it is now much more complete as announced the social network on his blog this Thursday: «Today we are Happy to launch a whole new camera, faster and easier to use with artistic effects and special effects to help you improve your conversations, "says Facebook.

Concretely, in a conversation, it is always possible to press the camera icon at the bottom of the screen to open the preview. Then you will see three icons at the top of the screen, with a face for different augmented reality masks and stickers, letters to add text and lines to draw directly on the screen. In addition, at the bottom right there is a palette icon. By pressing it, we find ourselves with a plain background, of which one can change the color and on which one can add text, stickers or drawings.

Concretely, for Facebook, it is mainly to catch up with the delay taken against some competitors like Snapchat or Twitter. These services allow for several months to add augmented reality masks on faces, but also stickers or stickers directly on the photos. A feature that was previously rather limited on Facebook Messenger.
