Samsung would provide AMOLED 5.8-inch slabs for an upcoming iPhone

According to Digitimes, Samsung would supply Apple in AMOLED slab for its next iPhone. It is a Taiwanese manufacturer who would have given the info of an order of slabs AMOLED of 5.8 inches made by Apple with Samsung.
It is expected that an iPhone model of 4.7 inches and another of 5.5 inches are planned for 2017. These would be equipped with a TFT-LCD screen as the current iPhone 7 and 7 plus, Would also refer to a 5.8-inch model with an AMOLED screen. The apple company plans to buy between 60 and 70 million of these Korean slabs in 2017.

New sensors under the screen

A new touch sensor technology would be used in these new screens. Provided by Nissha Printing, these sensors would carry the challenge of succeeding in surpassing any other screen already existing thanks to the combination of these and the new slabs. Since the iPhone is already an expensive high-end product, one can wonder about the price of this future iPhone on the AMOLED screen. A price difference of at least 100 to 200 usd compared to other models in the range would be expected. Production is scheduled to begin in March 2017.
