DroneGun: an impressive anti-drone rifle

The drones market is booming, which represents both advantages and disadvantages. Indeed, these can create nuisances, represent a danger or even become real weapons.
To counter its drifts, anti-drones solutions are developing. This is notably the case of Dronegun, an anti-drone rifle manufactured by DroneShield.

Dronegun is quite imposing with a weight of 6 pounds. Despite its weight, only one person is able to transport it. The big drawback of most anti-drone solutions is that you have to be relatively close to the drone to destroy it, which can be dangerous. Unlike its competitors, Dronegun can reach its target up to two hundred meters.

This rifle does not propose to destroy the drone but simply to disrupt it in order to make it land or to bring it back to its starting point which also makes it possible to identify the user. To do so, Dronegun scrambles the frequencies of the radio controls as well as the GPS / Glonass signal.

This new anti-drone weapon, of course, targets professionals such as security personnel or the military to protect themselves from any threat.
