After being released two weeks ago on iPhone, Super Mario Run, the first mobile game with the famous plumber of Nintendo, is available for pre-purchase on Android.
It was a secret of punch. After a limited exclusivity on iPhone, Super Mario Run will arrive on Android. This Thursday, Nintendo has thus put online the page of the mobile game on the Play Store of Google. However, it is not yet possible to buy it, but only to "pre-register". Pre-registered users will be informed of the availability of the application as soon as it is released. The Android version should incorporate the same functionality as that on iPhone. With 24 levels spread over six worlds, challenging friends, a global scoreboard or creating one's own kingdom.
Nintendo chose to launch Super Mario Run on iPhone firstly because of the risk of hacking the game on Android, greatly simplified by the installation of APK. However, with the permanent connection required to enjoy the game, the Japanese publisher has secured extra protection that should prevent cheaters from playing if they have not purchased the platform game.
Nintendo has not yet announced the availability date, probably early 2017, or the price of the Android version of Super Mario Run. It will be available for free, at least for the first levels, with potentially ten euros for the full game. However, Nintendo recently interviewed players to see if this rate was justified in their eyes. It could thus fall, even if the figure of 40 million downloads seems to validate the price.
