Towards a Touch Bar for iPhone 8?

Towards a Touch Bar for iPhone 8?

As we already know, Apple could remove all the physical buttons of the iPhone 8. All would be replaced by tactile surfaces. Same for the Home button and its TouchID that will inherit a "feature area. "

If until now we could believe that the fingerprint sensor would be hidden under the next iPhone's Oled screen, the often well-informed Ming-Chi Kuo is advancing another possibility. According to its sources, Apple would grant its iPhone 8 with its MacBook Pro 2016, namely by installing a Touch Bar under its screen.

This "function area", as the KGI Securities analyst calls it, would integrate the TouchID, but should also allow access to various options, pre-programmed. A theory that is consistent with a recent patent Apple spotted by AppleInsider during its passage to the US Patent (USPTO). The document highlights a new way to detect biometric fingerprints across a screen. A technology developed by LuxVue, a company owned by Apple, and working only with Oled screens.
