With the latest version of Android 7.1.2, Nexus users can also take advantage of this feature via an OTA update. This is what the 9to5Google recently reported.
The site says however that currently, only the Nexus 5X can still enjoy. Nexus 6P owners still have to wait some time before they can have the functionality on their phone.
However, it should be noted that the Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P and Pixel use the same fingerprint reader. According to the 9to5Google site, the problem resides in the firmware which differs from one terminal to another and which complicates the task of Google.
While waiting for the arrival of the functionality on Nexus 6P, those using the Nexus 5X can already activate the gesture commands in the parameters pane.
