Google improves its Gboard keyboard

Google improves its Gboard keyboard

Google introduces new features on its Gboard keyboard thanks to an update for already available for free on the App Store. Now iPhone and iPad users can access voice input and new Emojis from iOS 10.

The major change brought by the IT giant remains the voice input missing from previous versions. To access it, simply press the spacebar. A window opens and the device re-writes the speech using Google's voice input system.

The new version of Gboard will take account of the recent Emojis for iOS 10. Access to this feature has not changed, but the library is now packed. In addition, Google introduces 15 new languages. The keyboard is available in Danish, Malay, Romanian, Russian, Czech, Greek, Finnish, Spanish, Turkish, Catalan, Croatian, Polish, Dutch, Hungarian and Swedish.

Google ends up on another note by adding a feature of its own: the Google Doodles. These versions of its logo will be accessible by clicking on the G button on the keyboard. As a reminder, previous versions allowed a Google search without leaving its messaging service.
