Eidos Montreal is currently working on a video game adaptation of the Guardians of the Galaxy.
A news that does not delight the fans of the Deus Ex franchise, as it would appear that the developer will leave this title to focus on new projects. Indeed, Eidos Montreal does not envisage a sequel to Deus Ex: the divided humanity released in 2016.
Partnership between Square Enix and Marvel
The Montreal-based Eidos Montreal studio is owned by the Japanese company Square Enix and is best known for its acclaimed titles such as Deus Ex: Human Revolution and Deus Ex: Divided Humanity. Currently, he would be working on two new games. The rumors even go so far that the studio is developing Shadow of the Tomb Raider since last year.
It should be said that Square Enix and Marvel announced a partnership that spans several years. The Japanese company will produce a multitude of games based on the universe of superheroes of Marvel. And it is Eidos Montreal who will take care of the Guardians of the galaxy while the first title based on avengers will be mainly developed by Crystal Dynamics although the Canadian studio will sometimes help.
