Facebook wants to add custom filters for nudity and violence

Facebook wants to add custom filters for nudity and violence

Facebook's policy of deleting sensitive content has been controversial in recent years, to the point that the social network would now work on a system of custom filters. Users could then define what they consider acceptable or not in the pages they access.

It is Mark Zuckerberg himself who evokes this possibility in a long communiqué on the communities and the different spaces of expressions on Facebook. "The idea is given to everyone in the community options to adjust the content policy to their liking. Do you want more or less nudity? Of violence? Shocking content? Rude language? You will be able to decide your own settings, "explains the boss of Facebook.

The idea will be to move away, to a certain extent, from the unique policy of content management which had created a number of controversies, notably that of allowing photos showing male nipples while suppressing the photos without warning Of female nipples. In 2011, a photo showing the famous painting "The Origin of the World", had been censored, creating a new polemic around the subject.
