The devices in the Vizio SmartCast range can now be controlled via the Google wizard. Vizio added Google Home support to its TV, speakers and SmartCast sound bar.
Now, if you have a Vizio TV, you can take orders directly by activating Google Home with an "OK Google". The Vizio TV already integrates Chromecast. Therefore, you will not need to use an additional device.
As with other Chromecast devices, you'll be able to change the volume, go back, just go forward using Google Home. It is also possible to launch Netflix and YouTube for example. Finally, you can even turn on your TV remotely, only if you have activated the "Quick Start Power" mode.
The integration of vocal assistants is a very heavy trend at the beginning of the year. In the US it gives rise to a real industrial war between the supporters of Google Home and those of Alexa, its competitor proposed by Amazon.
