Galaxy S8: Samsung unveils (by mistake?) Bixby, his virtual assistant

Samsung seems to confirm the existence of its own virtual assistant. For now, the owners of Galaxy Sx had to settle for Google Now. The future Galaxy S8 could detach from Google and embark on this innovation.

On its website, the South Korean manufacturer says its next high-end smartphone will support payments via Samsung Pay. A screenshot accompanies this statement. It is on this one that one discovers the service Bixby. It is under this name that the rumors evoked until then the supposed virtual assistant house of Samsung.

Bixby is based on the technology of Viv, a company acquired by Samsung a few months ago and whose founders were involved in the creation of Apple's Siri. SamMobile says that Bixby could send money to relatives. It would be enough to say, for example, "Bixby, sends 30 euros to Michel" so that the indicated amount is transferred.

Bixby should be one of the major pieces of the Galaxy S8. With a bit of luck, Samsung will also distribute it to older generations, S6 and S7 leading. As a reminder, the Galaxy S8 should be presented at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona in February. On the other hand, it would be shelved only from mid-April.
