Misfit unveils its first touch screen smartwatch, the Vapor

At the CES in Las Vegas, Misfit unveiled the Vapor, its first high-tech watch. In addition to GPS and a heart rate sensor, it also features an internal music storage system and, for the first time, a touch screen. Thus, the sportsman can leave his smartphone at home and continue to listen to his favorite tracks.

The Vapor, a sophisticated tactile watch

Equipped with a 44 mm stainless steel housing, this product is waterproof up to 50 meters. Its 1.39-inch AMOLED display offers a 326 dpi resolution and is protected by a Gorilla Glass 3. The manufacturer has chosen a Qualcomm Snapdragon 2100 processor with 4 GB of storage and believes that the battery would guarantee a battery life of two days. Moreover, the watch connects magnetically to a charger.

The integrated sensors include a GPS, a heart rate monitor, an accelerometer, an altimeter and a gyroscope. The device also boasts Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. To run the set, Misfit has developed its own operating system. If you want to launch a function, simply touch the icons displayed on the touch screen. However, since this is a home platform, there will be fewer applications than Android Wear or WatchOS.

The Misfit Vapor will be sold at 199 dollars towards the end of the year, buyers will have the choice between two colors: Jet Black and Rose Gold.
