Galaxy S8: even bigger, but no physical touches?

Galaxy S8: even bigger, but no physical touches?

According to information published by David Ruddock on Android Police, the next Samsung Galaxy S8 would be devoid of navigation keys. To achieve this result, the South Korean company would install a pressure sensitive display.

The Galaxy S8 would feature virtual keys

The different assumptions about Samsung's next smartphone come together at one point, the South Korean firm would try to offer a device with the largest possible display. So specialists announced the disappearance of the home button and moving the fingerprint reader to the back of the phone.

David Ruddock believes that the manufacturer would go further and also remove the navigation keys. As on the Xiaomi Mi Mix, the screen would then cover the whole facade. Among the various options, making the display sensitive to pressure is technically feasible. The user would access virtual keys that he could configure as he liked. Currently, the Apple 3D Touch already offers similar features.

This year, Samsung has gone through all the emotions. While the Galaxy S7 Edge is a commercial success, the reminders of the Galaxy Note 7 are a real blow to its reputation and financial results. Analysts estimate losses in excess of 15 billion euros. In this context, the salvation of the company would pass through the Galaxy S8.
