Kaby Lake in the MacBook in 2017?

Kaby Lake in the MacBook in 2017?

Apple is anticipating a number of hardware upgrades on its notebooks in 2017, including a move to the Intel Kaby Lake architecture, as well as increased RAM. This is reported by MacRumors earlier this week, quoting the very well-informed analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who had just seen lately regarding the new MacBook Pro.

According to Ming-Chi Kuo, the 12-inch MacBook would be the first affected by a move to Kaby Lake, and would gain an option to upgrade to 16 GB of RAM. It says their production should start in the second quarter, some time announcing a 15-inch version of this computer. The latter, which would not arrive until the last quarter, could include up to 32 GB of RAM and would also embark the Kaby Lake.

Then come the MacBook Pro, updated late 2016, but stayed on a Skylake architecture. The 13-inch and 15-inch models could also move to Kaby Lake, where production would begin in the third quarter of 2017.

Ming-Chi Kuo says, however, that apart from the RAM and processor architecture, the different models of MacBook should offer configurations similar to the 2016 ranges. According to him, however, Apple could take advantage of these updates to Lowering the price of its entry-level 13-inch MacBook Pro, which took advantage of new features from other models except the Touch Bar. This one could definitively replace the previous generation of MacBook Pro in the store.
