HTC's Vive: more comfort and especially more sound

HTC's Vive: more comfort and especially more sound

Compared to its competitors, the HTC Vive is more powerful. It opens a window in the virtual realm and offers a tracking of movements to the scale of the room. However, it is not comfortable enough: to rectify the shot, its manufacturer announced the Vive Deluxe audio strap, in order to replace the strap. This new device gains in ergonomics and offers one of the advantages of the Oculus Rift: an integrated helmet.

HTC corrects the weaknesses of Vive

At first glance, the system resembles a cross between the Rift strap and the adjustable plastic band of the PlayStation VR. Like current belts, it passes over the top of the user's head and offers an adjustable sizing dial for tightening. The new grind also features in-ear headphones. But unlike those installed on the Rift, they can be removed. In other words, the owner can use his own headphones if the sound quality does not suit him. According to the Taiwanese firm, the Vive Deluxe audio strap will be available in the second quarter. For now, it has not specified the price.

HTC also unveiled two other accessories at CES. The TPCast frees the user from the cumbersome presence of the wires for 1 hour 30 minutes, it will cost 249 dollars. Finally, to increase the number of controllers, the manufacturer designed the Vive tracker. Simply place it on the desired item and it can be used immediately.
