On mobile, Facebook had already "forced" its users to migrate on the Messenger application, dedicated to instant messages.
If you click on the Messages icon in the application, it is the Messenger application that will open or a page that will ask you to download it. On the web version, it's different, at least, it was.
Indeed, according to a report by TechCrunch, some users have found that Facebook has changed its icon Messages on the social network web version, as shown in the screenshot above. By clicking on it, it is always the same small window that appears, with the most recent messages, but the link at the bottom of the window says "Show everything in Messenger". Difficult to make more explicit.
And indeed, a click on this link opens the web version of Messenger. The interface looks similar to the one you already know from Messenger, if not the blue navigation bar at the top of the screen. The idea, you suspect, is always the same, to migrate its users on the platform Messenger. Whether you like it or not.
