US Army flies its hoverbike

The US military proved that its hoverbike was operational during a flight demonstration in front of Dr. William Roper, a senior official of the Secretary of Defense.
The rectangular prototype took off at the Alberdenne Provins Ground in Maryland on January 10th. Officially known as JTRAV, this hoverbike was a Kickstarter project developed by Malloy Aircraft, originally. The latter then signed a contract with the US Army and then entered into a partnership with Survice Engineering Co for the implementation of the project.

The main function of JTRAV will be to supply the soldiers on the ground in less than 30 minutes. Tim Vong, an official of the US research laboratory ARL even said that this hoverbike would be like "Amazon on the battlefield".

Some improvement points

This will take some time before the military deploys the device. The researchers still hope to give it a longer reach and increase the load that it can ship up to 362 kg. According to Vong, the final version of JTRAV should be "a modular, stable platform that can be used for ever more hectic and dangerous missions. "
