Razer: the prototype stolen from the CES is on sale on a Chinese site

One of the computers stolen during CES 2017 was finally found on Taobao, the Chinese equivalent of eBay. The prototype of Razer is sold at $ 20,500.

Prototype found, but ...

After theft of its two prototypes at the end of CES 2017, Razer had proposed a major award to obtain all the information that would make it possible to find the culprits. It is not known if the process has borne fruit, but the three-screen laptop was found on the Chinese online sales site Taobao, with a bid price of 20 500 usd. If one believes the photo posted on the web page, everything suggests that Project Valerie is currently in China.

The computer in question has the thickness of a classic 17-inch laptop despite its three 4K G-Sync screens foldable. A single graphics card allows the prototype to ensure smooth play. This is the GeForce GTX 1080 from Nvidia. The GPU is engraved in 16nm and has 2560 units of calculation.

For now, there is no evidence that the seller has Razer's two prototypes in hand. Moreover, the American computer company has not yet announced the steps it will take against the seller.
