A few months ago, Nintendo announced the release of the NES Classic, a mini version of the original NES console. The NES Classic Edition was expected by many fans and already suffers from its success. Just released (officially November 11), the console fell out of stock during the day.
The NES Classic is a way (other than emulation) for the people of its generation to feel again a little nostalgia and to go back in time. The mini console comes with about thirty pre-installed games including Super Mario Bros., Donkey Kong and The Legend of Zelda.
If you wanted to buy it or offer it for the holidays, it seems that the task will be much harder than expected. The console is already out of stock and the latest NES Classic available are rare. The demand is so strong compared to available stock, that some lucky do not hesitate to resell the console at a much higher price on the internet.
However, Nintendo, aware of the magnitude of the situation, said that the company was working hard to be able to supply and sell additional quantities by Christmas and New Year. In the meantime, if you want to be forewarned get in touch with traders.
