Yesterday, after a tumultuous week, Facebook announced good news: the creation of a support tool called "Community Help". This new tool will allow users to offer assistance during disasters or terrorist attacks.
So far, in a disaster, Facebook offered its users the opportunity to report in security to reassure family and friends. Now, when a disaster occurs in a delimited area, Facebook users will receive a "safety check" to either offer a home or food or drink. This new feature will rely on an algorithm that will study publications from the same area.
In a desire to become more social, Facebook is also launching a new icon that allows donations. This button will be integrated into live videos and publications. For example, during a live charity event, users can participate by making a donation directly to the association. With the coming Christmas period, it is certain that users will be generous.
