Google's offer around the Chromecast is becoming increasingly confusing. Chromecast, which has been renamed Google Cast, will become Chromecast again.
Android Police first communicated the information. The site found that the Google Cast Twitter account had been renamed Chromecast. Additionally, the Google Cast website is now called Chromecast built-in.
Google had introduced the Google Cast name when the company had started extending Chromecast's offer to other devices so that it would no longer be confused with them. Then, Google changed the name of its application to Google Cast, which later became Google Home.
Google has decided this backwards to put things flat in its offer, but it seems that the confusion still reigns. To sum up, we have the devices or dongles that are named Chromecast, the built-in Chromecast feature and finally the Google Home app on Android.
