Nintendo will officially launch Pokémon Soleil and Pokémon Lune on Wednesday, November 23rd. By putting 10 million cartridges on the market at once, the Japanese firm sets the bar very high. The goal is simple, achieve the best possible sale on 3DS and dethrone Pokémon X and Y that have been sold to 15.64 million copies.
The Japanese company has already broken a first record by deciding to market 10 million units from the first day. By way of comparison, at the launch of Pokémon X and Y, it offered fewer than 7 million copies. Nintendo has revised its ambitions upward after the success of Pokémon Go which has become a true social phenomenon. According to the latest estimates, more than 30 million people play each month. After the peak reached last July, the number of users has decreased somewhat. The Japanese firm hopes to revive the interest of fans by launching a new product.
