Samsung is upgrading its connected Gear Fit 2 bracelet. This update focuses on features related to activity tracking. The device would provide more precision and its use would also become easier. When the deployment is effective within their region, owners will receive a notification on their smartphone. Then they will have to install it with the Samsung Gear application.
The Gear Fit 2 offers more possibilities
Samsung's engineers added an Auto Pause feature. With this option, the unit stops recording when the athlete stops his efforts. For example, when a cyclist makes a small stop. When resuming, the user will not need to start a new session, the bracelet will automatically continue recording.
The latest firmware update also increases the number of disciplines taken into account by the device. From now on, the Gear Fit 2 will automatically register table tennis, badminton, dance, basketball and football. The camera uses its motion sensor to track these activities. Whenever the wearer provides more than ten minutes of effort, the session is recorded as a "dynamic workout".
The connected bracelet also benefits from a new setting option adapted to repetitive exercises such as abs and bending. Before starting, the wearer will indicate his goals and the Gear Fit 2 will count his achievements when he begins.
