Apple: iOS 11 could kill 200,000 applications

This was to happen sooner or later, Apple was about to remove almost 200,000 applications with the arrival of iOS 11. After several reminders to developers, obsolete applications will disappear from the Apple Store.

Since the release of iOS 10 beta, Apple keeps multiplying messages and reminders to optimize obsolete applications. Since 2015, Apple has gradually changed its warnings that have become increasingly insistent. With the arrival of the iOS 11 the brand decided that it would take action by putting an end to applications too old and which would not have evolved sufficiently.

Thousands of applications should be removed. A company called Sensor Tower was amused to establish the number of applications that would disappear. It estimates that 187,000 obsolete applications will be removed.

By apps obsolete, Apple hears all 32-bit applications and games. Now, for an application to appear in the App Store, it must be compatible with the 64-bit.
