Google built a new app so your kids can have a Google account, too

Google is increasingly tackling the family market and wants to offer Google accounts for children. The company is launching a new application called Family Link that allows parents to create a Google account for their children.

Family Link not only creates an account for your children, it also allows you to customize and track their use. This allows parents to choose which applications their children can use, how long they stay on their devices, and they can even set a time limit and block the device from a distance.

To create a Google Account for your child, you'll need a smartphone or tablet with Android Nougat. You will then be able to download Family Link and create the account. Family Link is currently in early access. You will need to request an invitation to access it. Family Link is only for families with children aged 13 years.
