Facebook launches Messenger Day, copy of Snapchat Stories

Facebook launches Messenger Day, copy of Snapchat Stories

Facebook officially launched its new feature on Facebook Messenger called Messenger Day. The new tool looks like two drops of water to the Snapchat Stories.

Facebook is inspired once again by its rival Snapchat. Messenger Day, which recalls the Stories of its competitor, allows to share with its contacts ephemeral photos or videos to which one can add filters, effects, text and drawings.

If the concept is similar to the Snapchat Stories, its design is also a true copy. To use Messenger Day, simply take a picture or a video with the camera functionality that resembles that of Snapchat. Once the photo or video is taken, you can either press the smiley icon at the top to add a filter or the "Aa" icon to add text, and so on.

The user can send his photo or his video to all his contacts Messenger or only to his close friends. The sharing of the photo will be done in the "My Day" section accessible to your contacts for 24 hours.

Facebook started the deployment of Messenger Day yesterday. The new feature is available on iOS and Android.
