Google announces latest update dates for Pixel and Nexus

Google announces latest update dates for Pixel and Nexus

Google officially announces when it will end updates on Pixel and Nexus smartphones. Users are therefore warned, beyond these dates, that they no longer expect to receive new system updates or patches on their terminals. The age of a smartphone is relative.
If for a user, a two-year phone is not yet exceeded, it may be on the manufacturer's side. In general after two years this one begins to no longer support the device in terms of services and updates. At least for Nexus and Pixel users, Google announces its schedule.

As for Nexus smartphones, Google said that the Android versions of the Nexus 6P and 5X would no longer see updates after September 2017. In addition, both models will no longer have guaranteed patches after September 2018. For Smartphones Pixel and Pixel XL, the US giant announces an ultimate update in October 2018 and an ultimate security update in October 2019.

As Pixel and Nexus users are warned, they still have time to think about a possible new purchase.
