About three months ago, Instagram had added the stories to its smartphone app. If the stories were strongly inspired by Snapchat, it seems that Instagram wants to differentiate them in order to stand out from its competitor. Indeed, Instagram adds three main novelties to its stories.
The first novelty is the integration of Boomerang on Instagram. Boomerang, which is an application of Instagram makes it possible to capture video excerpts in order to add then this famous effect "boomerang". With the new update, the application becomes a feature of Instagram. Now, when you take a video on Instagram, you just have to swipe to the right to switch to boomerang mode.
You will also be able to add mentions to your stories. To mention other users, simply type "@" followed by the name of the user. The person will then receive notification that he / she has been identified in a story. Instagram even thought of everything. If you are identified in the stories of someone you do not follow, the notification will be sent by message.
Finally, the third novelty is mainly aimed at brands with the addition of links under the videos. This new feature is only available for audited accounts. It allows to be redirected on a website for example.
