Now that MediaTek unveiled more fully the existence of its SoC Helio X30, the Chinese manufacturer Vernee confirms that of a future model Apollo 2 which will operate this processor.
Chinese brand Vernee seems determined to be the first to offer smartphones shipping the latest SoC from MediaTek group. After a tease on March Vernee model carrying a Pro Soc Helio P20, it left up other models in its roadmap for 2017.
Both smartphones are mentioned: an Apollo Pro 2 under Snapdragon 830 SoC (which does not exist yet) and Apollo 2 under Helio X30. With more detailed presentation of this new SoC decacore engraved in 10 nm, Vernee confirmed the ongoing development of Apollo at least 2 model.
The precise characteristics, outside the SoC, remain unknown. The Android Headlines website speculates on the possible presence of 6GB of RAM, a 2K QHD display and a metal shell with a fingerprint reader on the back, but nothing confirmed yet these data.
Meanwhile, it is a model equipped Vernee Thor Pro SoC Helio P25 (evolution just unveiled and muscular Helio P20) that will be inserted early 2017.
every company out there says they are using the best chipset, lets say: snapdragon 820..not only crap oem like you said but also big name like HTC, LG and Samsung.
