Roli launches Blocks, a kind of small movable surface that can create electro music. The brand is particularly known for its flagship product, the keyboard Seaboard wants to make music more accessible with Blocks.
Unlike Seaboard, the user does not have a great mastery to use the product. Roli do not want to go to the professionals this time but the fans who have always dreamed of making music.
Blocks is a sort pad (5x5) which is provided with a rubber smooth surface that responds differently depending on the pressure effected. The more you press the pad, and the sound will be. Conversely, the sound will be softer when you tap or you caress the surface. Several modules can be assembled to create a kind of musical loop. Three modules comprise an: the Lightpad which is the main part and two other modules, thinner, and Loop Live are complementary.
The modules are connected together via the Bluetooth application. The Lightpad is sold at 180 dollars or 162 euros and Loop Live and $ 80 each about 72 euros. It is a price that is affordable for amateurs who want to touch a little music.
