Lenovo ZUK Edge: smartphone with Snapdragon 821 and 6 GB RAM confirmed

Earlier this month, a new smartphone with the model number Z2151 from Lenovo sub - brand ZUK is listed on TENAA. Later, the list AnTuTu confirmed the device the rumor of the ZUK Edge. Now ZUK CEO and former Lenovo vice president Chang Cheng confirmed by Weibo that the ZUK Edge would be officially launched this week in China. From the image it has published, the device package includes the device itself with paperwork, power adapter, USB cable and a back shell with a leather finish.

Technical specifications of the Lenovo ZUK Edge

From the image we can see the large home button on the front that would also feature a fingerprint sensor. The power button and the volume rocker are placed on the right edge of the device. In the cardboard box we can see the name of the device 'ZUK Edge' and on the front edge, it says: "Designed by Lenovo. It features a 5.5-inch Full HD display with 1920 x 1080 pixel display with a 2.5D glass on top. Under the hood, the smartphone uses the Snapdragon 810 quad-core processor clocked at 2.35GHz and coupled with Adreno 530 GPU. Recently, the company announced the new Snapdragon 835 processor that would be manufactured using 10nm FinFET process from Samsung. It comes in two variants with 4 GB and 6 GB of RAM and would be available in 32GB, 64GB and 128GB of storage options. The device would also run Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box with the IZ 2.5 placed on top. Instead of a completely different brand, Lenovo launched the ZUK as a separate series under the Lenovo brand. Even the ZUK Z2 Plus launched in India came with Vibe UI with Google Launcher as the default option. In the camera department, there would be the 13 megapixel rear camera with LED flash and an 8 megapixel selfie camera on the front. The camera measures 142.9 x 74.5 x 7.68 mm and weighs 160 grams.




The health sensors that are introduced with the Lenovo Z2 Plus smartphone may be available on this coming device as well. While the ZUK Edge should be officially launched this week in China, there is no news of the availability of the same device in India.
