HTC wants to bring virtual reality to arcade terminals

Many people see virtual reality as the future of video games. However, this technology remains difficult to democratize since it requires great computer performance and ideally, a room very spacious to take full advantage of the experience.
This actually excludes some gamers. But with his idea of bringing the arcade up to date by creating large gaming rooms open to the public, HTC hopes to make virtual reality more accessible and thus, remedy the problem.

After Taiwan, the RV Arcade in Europe before 2017

The company recently announced two titles that will be launched on Viveport Arcade: The Brookhaven Experiment and Everest VR. And an article published by The Verge explains that HTC has already opened its first room in Taiwan, and is in the process of negotiating partnerships with Chinese cybercafés to import the concept into China. Moreover, Rikard Steiber, president of Viveport would have suggested that the arrival of the Arcade VR in the United States and Europe will not go beyond the end of 2016. In any case, if it really happens, the greatest number will be able to taste The VR experience saving hundreds of euros!
