The South Korean manufacturer becoming a regular reminder of the large scale of its products ... After being forced at the end of summer remind its Galaxy smartphones Note 7, whose battery was a risk of explosion, Samsung will trigger a recall operation involving nearly 3 million washing machines. Their fault? They present a risk of disintegration.

Their cover may come off the frame of the apparatus when in use and present a risk of injury to persons in the vicinity. According to the US Consumer Protection Commission (CPSC), 2.8 million washing machines to 34 different models must now be recalled.

Samsung has already received 733 adverse reports on these machines. Nine of them are reporting users injuries ranging from a broken jaw to falls caused by detached parts of the machine. The manufacturer offers owners to choose between a home intervention to strengthen the cover with an extended warranty, a rebate on the purchase of a new machine with free installation or a full refund if the machine was purchased less than 30 days before the recall operation.

A new disappointment for Samsung, which announced in late October a decrease of 30% in operating profit for the third quarter, due to the operation of a recall of approximately 2.5 million smartphones Galaxy Note 7.
