Google pays LeapDroid, the Android emulator for Windows

Google pays LeapDroid, the Android emulator for Windows
Founded in 2015, LeapDroid is known for its emulation software allowing Windows users to download and also enjoy Android applications on their computer. Although other companies such as BlueStacks or Nox offer the same services, it is on the young company that the company of Mountain View has set its sights: just one year after its creation,
Google buys completely LeapDroid (company, brand and Products) to expand its development team, according to the official version.

But as soon as the announcement was published, the LeapDroid website disappeared from the web and the downloading of the software via a third party site was no longer possible. Those who were able to acquire it before will still be able to continue using the emulator, but no update seems to be current.

What motivations for Google?

By buying LeapDroid, Google is taking a big step forward in its relationship with Microsoft. One can assume that the web giant has something on fire for Windows users. This could be an official emulation solution or even a real Google Play Store service for Windows. In this case, the number one search engine has all its chances since its catalog of apps is better supplied than that of Microsoft.
