Explore any part of the world with Google Earth VR

Explore any part of the world with Google Earth VR

After four years of work, the Google Maps team finally launches Google Earth VR. It is a version of Google Earth that integrates all the technology of virtual reality. After years of upgrading you can finally explore the planet from your sofa.

With Google Earth VR, users can start the journey from space with a superb view of planet Earth. Then simply rotate the globe to choose the destination you want. Google says that 94% of the world's population and 54% of the land mass has been covered by experience. You can choose between 175 cities and 600 urban centers. Among the most attractive destinations are the center of New York, the Grand Canyon or the ruins of Rome.

The Google team said improvements in graphics still need to be made in different parts of the globe. Google Earth VR is now available on the Steam platform and is compatible with HTC Vive for the moment. Other RV helmets will soon be compatible including the Daydream.
