Samsung Galaxy S8: a patent reveals the dual-camera configuration

Samsung continues to lead the worldwide recall of its latest flagship smartphone, the Galaxy Note 7. However, rumors about the next Samsung flagship has already begun to line surface. A patent application filed recently in South Korea refers to a dual-camera configuration on the Galaxy S8.
The patent application was filed on 13 September and shows a camera interface with a better zoom control as Galaxy club via SamMobile. It reveals that the zoom in the application of the camera can be done using a finger gesture, just as with the exposure control function to a finger that the company uses in its application of the camera. Zoom can also be assigned to the volume keys or controlled by the zoom-pinch gesture. Some of these features are already in the application of the camera on many Samsung smartphones So why the company intends to improve the camera's control over its smartphones that could be related to the fact that may implement a dual camera configuration on the next Galaxy S8.


The Galaxy S8 could feature a 4200mAh battery

A configuration with dual camera offers improved tools for strengthening the zoom capabilities on a smartphone, compared to regular rear cameras. Yet this is simply speculation at this stage, the patent applications do not necessarily mean that these design features will arrive on the Galaxy S8. However, the specifications of the Galaxy S8 recently disclosed, but they must be taken with a grain of salt. The Galaxy S8 could come with a 4K screen of 5.2 inches with a resolution of 4096 x 2160 pixels and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on top. It could also work with a Qualcomm Snapdragon octa-core processor clocked at 3.2GHz and 6GB of RAM and 64 GB or 128 GB of internal memory. The battery capacity may reach 4200mAh, while the capacity of the rear camera was rumored to reach 30MP with 9MP front. Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy S8 display with a double curve in the first or second month of 2017.
