We have known for some time that Samsung is working on a smartphone to come in the series A, the Galaxy A8 (2016). Now it seems that the device was officially unveiled and several features previously rumors were confirmed, including Always On Display.
Samsung officially unveiled the Galaxy A8 (2016) in South Korea, after the smartphone manual, specifications and even images leak in recent weeks. The smartphone has almost the same design as its predecessor, including a full metal body. The Galaxy A8 (2016) seems to come with Always On Display, which was introduced earlier this year on one of the jewels of the company, the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge Galaxy. Samsung Galaxy A8 (2016) seems to come from a full HD 5.7 inches and works with a Exynos7420 Samsung processor coupled with 3GB of RAM. The internal storage is approximately 32GB and the smartphone features a 16MP rear camera with an 8MP camera on the front for snapping selfies and conduct video calls.
Samsung Galaxy A8 (2016) will be available for pre-order from October 1
In addition, the battery capacity reaches 3500mAh and smartphone runs Android 6.0.1 out of the box Marshmallow. The unit comes with a fingerprint scanner and support for Samsung Pay. Its predecessor, the Galaxy A8, was unveiled last year in July and featured an octa-core processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 615-64 bit, 2GB of RAM, and either 16GB or 32GB of internal memory. The capacity of the rear camera is the same as the model for this year, but the front camera was only 5MP. Support for Samsung partners in South Korea will start taking pre-orders for the smartphone soon. The device will be available in a variant of blue color on 1 October from SK Telecom and it is quite uncertain whether it will be sold in other countries. The Galaxy A8 (2016) carries a 580 dollar price tag, and customers who pre-order before October 4 receive a free phone case, a screen protector and a microSD card.
