Rumors have shown that Nokia is working on a device called Nokia coming D1C, the unit appeared on several calibration sites in recent weeks. A new listing on GFXBench seems to indicate that the device could actually be a tablet.
Nokia D1C appeared on AnTuTu and Geekbench in the past, but the screen size was not mentioned. Both lists show that the device could come with a display resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The GFXBench list was spotted by Nokia Power User and shows that the device will come with a 13.8 inch touch screen, which technically makes a tablet. The list also shows that the tablet might be running Android 7.0 at launch and Nougat include 3GB of RAM, with an octa-coreQualcommSnapdragon430 processor clocked at 1.4 GHz. These characteristics are certainly to medium-end tablet. The internal storage appears to 16GB, with just 9GB for the user. The capacity of the rear camera could be with 8MP 16MP front for video calls. The main camera on the tablet would come with face detection and autofocus.
Nokia: two Android smartphones also this year
The specifications suggest that Nokia is looking to release a tablet with relatively good specifications, while the company also said work on two other Android devices this year, part of the premium range. Rumors about the other two smartphones link to a 22.6MP rear camera and IP68 certification against the damage caused by water and dust. In addition, they might come with a Snapdragon 821 inside and screen sizes up to 5.5 inches. For now, there is not much reliable information on Nokia smartphones or tablets to come, but it is said that the company would announce new devices this quarter or next. Therefore, more information will soon surface.
