Windows Fall update: Razer lives it less well

Razer, the American brand of computer dedicated to video games, has just been touched by the curse of the Windows update. The branded laptops systems are incompatible with the 1709 Build 16299.15 version of Windows 10.

A problem prevented from the phase of Windows Insider

A publication on a Razer forum recommends users to "DO NOT UPDATE". The new version of Windows 10 actually affects the "touchpad, keyboard and USB functions of the device when waking from sleep mode on battery". Reinstalling the pilots or using Razer's help service does not solve the problem. The only solution is to go back to the Microsoft Update Creators Update. The problem does not appear, however, when the user plugs his device into an electrical outlet.

Several users have tried different solutions to the problem. While some will reinstall a number of their Drivers, others prefer to chase reboots. Those who have a better computer have found that the energy consumption of their devices has been affected, moreover. The life of the battery could however be reduced because of an over consumption of the order of 7 to 9 additional watts.

The strategy of Microsoft is more and more questionable especially as the update of Android is at the OEM level.
