Instagram: it is now possible to broadcast a live video

Instagram adds a new feature that has been waiting for a while now. From now on, it will be possible to invite a second person to join his live video. The feature has been in testing for several weeks and is now available to all users.

From now on, a user can invite one of their viewers to join his live video. Just click on a new icon. The screen will automatically split in half to show both users. The person who started the live video first, however, remains the one with the total control. She can at any time end the sharing and invite another viewer.

The new feature may be interesting for Instagram artists and influencers who want to interact with fans and subscribers. The live two will appear in the Stories bar at the top of the screen. They are distinguished with two intertwined circles instead of a single circle.

Live video sharing for two is available now on Android and iOS.
