Google Allo passes 5 million downloads

Google Allo passes 5 million downloads

Google released its chat application Allo on 20 September, which has since received mixed reviews. While the application has been some interesting and useful features, it seems that Google has decided to compromise on security features previously announced, which did not bode well with some Android consumers. However, the application is gaining popularity pretty fast because it just passed the 5 million downloads mark in the Google Play Store.
The application has been published there is more than one week

This is encouraging news for application, but Allo still has a long way to go until it can really compete with Messenger, which has more than 800 million active users, WhatsApp and Facebook, with 1 billion users. But given time, it could happen. There are four days Allo Google surpassed 1 million downloads and ranked first in the Google Play store on weekends.

Google Duo also has a better rating of 4.4 stars compared to 4.2 Allo

Another application of Google, Duo, recently a similar trend at launch. The application has recently reached the milestone of 10 million downloads, but its adoption rate appears to have slowed, and currently ranks number 85 in free charts. Note that like Hello, Google Duo works with your mobile phone number instead of a Google Account, giving users a more natural experience. Hello Google comes with integrated Google Assistant, which allows intelligent answers. The application provides answers suggestions based on previous conversations. This means that messages are stored in order to improve functionality. It also comes with the incognito mode encryption throughout and private notifications.
